ISLAMABAD, Sep 07 (SABAH): So far Pakistan has received 50 relief assistance flights for the flood affectees from different countries of the world.

According to a statement issued by Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, so far Pakistan has received total 19 relief assistance flights from United Arab Emirates (UAE), 11 from Turkiye, four from China, one from Uzbekistan, three from Qatar, one from France, two from UNICEF, five from UNHCR, one Turkmenistan, one from the World Food Programme (WFP) and from Jordan.

Meanwhile in continuation of humanitarian air bridge established between Pakistan and UAE, one relief flight from United Arab Emirates scheduled for Wednesday was received at Nur Khan Airbase, Rawalpindi.

In total, 19 flights from UAE have landed in Pakistan carrying food, medical supplies and tents etc. FO spokesperson said that Pakistan is thankful to the Government and people of UAE for showing support and solidarity in these times of grave crisis.

Meanwhile two relief flights from UAE carrying humanitarian assistance goods by World Food Programme reached Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.

The flights were received by representatives of UAE Consulate, UAE Red Crescent and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Pakistan is thankful to the World Food Programme for showing support and solidarity in these times of grave crisis.

Meanwhile first humanitarian assistance flight from Jordan has landed at Jinnah International Airport Karachi, Pakistan.

It was received by Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani and Ambassador of Jordan to Pakistan Ibrahim Al Madani along with officers from Ministry of Foreign Affairs & National Disaster Management Authority.

FO Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said that the relief assistance from Jordan is welcomed with warmth and gratitude.
