Sirajul Haq urges rulers to restore peace in KPK otherwise Jamaat-e-Islami to stage sit-in at Islamabad

PESHAWAR, Feb 08 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that country was being pushed to civil war while the nation was being pushed to linguistic prejudice, sects and other prejudices, leading to division in the society.

Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing the ‘Aman March’ in Peshawar on Wednesday. He further warned the imperialistic forces once again have begun creating cracks in the country and added that the US and India wanted to see warfare in Islamabad and Kabul. According to a minister of the US, Pakistan needs to interfere into the affairs of Afghanistan which is basically agenda of our enemies as they are eyeing at our nuclear asset, he warned.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that the faithful individuals to imperialistic forces were dominating the nation with the support of the establishment and this situation geared up weaving a conspiracy to create instability in the country. He further suggested instead of holing partial elections the general elections could restore stability in the country and requested the government of Afghanistan to play its part for restoration of peace by being cognizant of all conspiracies.

Sirajul Haq said, “I want to convey my message to Afghanistan that people of Pakistan have rendered tremendous sacrifices for the country. Our 75,000 citizens embraced martyrdom. Restoration of peace in Pakistan and Afghanistan is vital for both the countries.”

“Foreign Minister of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid visits to Europe and the United State of America but he didn’t visit the neighboring Afghanistan where his visit was dire need of time,” Sirajul Haq pointed out.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that a week has passed since suicide attack took place in Peshawar’s Police Lines mosque but the perpetrators of the incident could not be identified and deplored that the people were dying while the federal and provincial governments were paying no heed towards it.

Sirajul Haq said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were hell-bent upon coming into power whereas on the other end the public was burning into the fire of inflation and chaos. He said people have lost their confidence in the Parliament, institutions, judiciary and the politicians and warned there is need of restoring this confidence of masses ‘if we want to secure our homeland.’

On this occasion, he issued directions to Jamaat-e-Islami for holding ‘Aman Marches’ at all district and tehsil headquarters of the province and warned the rulers to frame a mechanism for restoration of peace there otherwise Jamaat-e-Islami will start and continue a sit-in in the federal capital unless peace was restored in the province.

Sirajul Haq also took up the issue of missing persons during his address and stressed upon the need of producing the missing persons before the courts besides releasing them. He added despite the passage of numerous years, the people were missing their kith and kin.
