Sirajul Haq urges five permanent members of the UN Security Council to avoid from participation in proposed G20 Conference in IIOJK

ISLAMABAD, May 7 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has urged the five permanent members of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to avoid from participation in the proposed G20 Conference in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing the Central Consultative Meeting of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir here on Sunday. On this occasion, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Khalid Mahmood Khan thanked Emir JI Pakistan Sirajul Haq.

He further said that India is convening G20 Conference in occupied valley to deceive the world on the Kashmir issue and to give a legal cover to the unlawful acts of August 05, 2019. He urged upon the international community to fulfill the promise made with the Kashmiris.

In the light of charter of United Nations and resolutions of Security Council, he noted Occupied Kashmir is an occupied territory and added that India has no justification to convene G20 meeting in the valley. He added that 230 million Pakistanis support the Kashmir cause.

The country broke into two pieces because negotiation had not been done, Sirajul Haq said, adding God forbid the country was being pushed to that situation. He said only through negation the country could come out of crisis and added that Jamaat-e-Islami tried on its level to take the country out of crisis.

Sirajul Haq maintained that all the political parties have badly failed in providing relief to the poor common citizens, saying Jamaat-e-Islami will put the country on the path of progress and development after coming into power. He said that it would also put its efforts in sorting out the Kashmir dispute. He said no other party than the Jamaat-e-Islami is capable to take the country out crisis.
