Sirajul Haq demands expulsion of the Swedish ambassador from Pakistan
LAHORE, July 02 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has demanded expulsion of the Swedish ambassador from Pakistan. Sirajul Haq has also appealed to the Muslim Ummah to disconnect the diplomatic relations with European country while expressing joint honor and dignity.
While addressing the public gathering at Jandol Samarbagh on Sunday, Sirajul Haq said that the act of desecration of the Holy Quran was committed under the guardianship of the Swedish government, adding that the Islamic countries should give befitting reaction at the official level at this heinous action. He said that the incident is phenomenon of the Islamophobia and challenge for the faith of the nearly 2 billion Muslims of the 58 Islamic countries.
Sirajul Haq said that the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden under the official guardianship reflects that the western colonial countries are not ready to give any importance to the Islamic countries, adding that the west’s system has been badly failed and now they are not ready to accept the reality of the Islam. He said that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has given the message of peace and love for the whole humanity.
Sirajul Haq said that the faith of the Muslims is being attacked, Muslim women are ridiculed, signs of Islam are being attacked, adding that all this is not tolerable for the Muslims. He said that it is the responsibility of the Islamic countries and government of Pakistan to give strong reaction over the incident of desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and represent the sentiments of the Muslims vigorously. He said that in first phase; the Swedish ambassadors from all the Islamic countries should be expelled, adding that OIC should be activated. Sirajul Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami will stage strong protest over the incident.
