Sindh govt & Sindhi people always stand with Kashmiri people in Kashmir struggle: Murad Ali Shah
KARACHI, Oct 23 (SABAH): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has assured the All Parties Hurriyat Conference that the Sindh government and the Sindhi people will always stand with the Kashmiri people in the struggle of Kashmir.
Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed these views while talking to a delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference. He said the government of Pakistan and Sindhi people have always been supporter of self-determination of Kashmiri people and will continue to provide all possible diplomatic and moral support in this regard.
He said the Kashmir issue is not only the problem of the Kashmiri people but the problem of the entire Muslim Ummah and Pakistan. A delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference met with the chief minister regarding the Black Day of Oct 27.
During the meeting, Provincial Minister of Local Government Saeed Ghani, Provincial Minister of Interior, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar were also present in the meeting.
The delegation which met the Chief Minister under the leadership of convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi included Hurriyat Conference General Secretary Advocate Pervaiz Ahmed, senior Hurriyat leader Syed Ejaz Ahmed, Abdul Hameed Lone and Sheikh Abdul Majid.
In the meeting, the current situation of Kashmir was discussed in detail with Sindh government officials. In the discussion regarding the Black Day, the importance of October 27, the day when India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, was highlighted.
The delegation informed the Chief Minister of Sindh about the historical background of the Kashmir issue and said that the Kashmiri people have been facing the worst oppression and tyranny of India for the past several decades.
The Hurriyat delegation apprised the Chief Minister about the ongoing Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir, human rights violations and extrajudicial killings, and the condition of imprisonment of Hurriyat leaders.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah assured full support of Sindh government and People’s Party to express solidarity with Kashmiri people on the occasion of Black Day. He said that the Sindh government and the Sindhi people have always stood with the Kashmiri people in the struggle of Kashmir and have supported the right of Kashmiris against Indian oppression before and will continue to do so until Kashmiris remain under Indian rule.
Hurriyat Conference Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi appreciated the cooperation and support of the Sindh Chief Minister and said that the support of the government and people of Pakistan is a motivating factor for the Kashmiri people. He said that India is making every possible effort to suppress the Kashmiri people, but no power in the world can stop the freedom struggle of Kashmiris.
