Shehbaz Sharif’s govt did not increase a single rupee in petrol & diesel price by its own: Maryam Nawaz

ISLAMABAD, June 16 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s government did not increase a single rupee in petrol and diesel price by its own and did not impose even a single rupee additional tax on the masses by its own, adding that it is same agreement of the Imran Khan’s government struck with the IMF in July 2019.
Talking to media persons after appearing before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in Avenfield Apartments case on Thursday, Maryam Nawaz said that when government go home they happily inform the masses about their projects if they have performed and tell their performance, interior minister of the previous government and finance ministers of the previous government informed the masses time and again that when Imran Khan was going he installed landmines for the upcoming government of Shehbaz Sharif. She said that Imran Khan’s government singed the agreement of destroying the economy with IMF, adding that when money was ended Imran Khan’s government pledged whole Pakistani economy with the IMF.

Maryam Nawaz said that today government of Pakistan is taking tough decisions due to the agreement signed by Imran Khan with IMF. She said that Pakistani government and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are bound to follow the IMF agreement. She said that in result of the prices agreed by Imran Khan’s government with IMF today petrol price should be Rs 300 per liter, adding that these are the landmines which they have installed and it has been revealed by Sheikh Rashid Ahmad. 

Maryam Nawaz said that if the government did not follow the agreement signed by Imran Khan with IMF then Pakistan could default. He said that when Imran Khan came to know that his government is being sent home and no-confidence motion is being succeeded against him then he decreased the petroleum prices instead of knowing that the Pakistani economy could not afford this burden. She said that the government is paying the political cost of Imran Khan’s decision, adding that this destruction was of not government but of 220 million Pakistanis.

Maryam Nawaz said that said that Imran Khan was thieve, who brought Pakistan to current situation. Maraym Nawaz said that if American conspiracy was the political matter then why Imran Khan brought this issue to the National Security Committee (NSC). She said that NSC is National Security Committee and not National Siasi Committee and some siasi bethak. He said that the statement of the DG ISPR on Wednesday is not his individual statement, adding that DG ISPR represent Pakistan’s security agencies and Pakistan’s security agencies told that no conspiracy was hatched, adding that he represents the national security agencies, which having facts and Pakistan’s security is their responsibility, adding that he is not giving any political statement by talking on the facts. She said that this is matter of national security and it is not a political matter. She said that Imran Khan, whose second name is finta khan, has put Pakistan’s sovereignty, security and Pakistan security institutions on stake for his politics. She said that this falsehood has been established and now no one should need to give clarification, adding that Imran Khan has been established Pakistan’s biggest liar time and again, adding that there is no need of paying further attention to his lies.

Maryam Nawaz said that Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif did not belief in personal vendetta, adding that Nawaz Sharif tweeted about Parvez Musharraf on humanitarian grounds. She said that Nawaz Sharif is not part of the government and he has talked about Parvez Musharraf in personal capacity. She said that Nawaz Sharif is still abroad and is unable to return back to country. Maryam Nawaz said that she is representing whole coalition government and she alone is enough for the fake party of Imran Khan. She said that if anyone will give call of unrest then the state will stop it with full force. She said that the elections will be held on time and should be held on time, adding that we need time to stabilize the county after taking tough decisions. She said that next year Pakistan will go into election on time and no such situation will be created in which anything is said unwontedly about the early elections.

Maryam Nawaz said that her narrative is give respect to vote and this will be her narrative tomorrow, adding that it is not a narrative but fact, adding that PML-N did not need crutches of anyone. She said that fitna khan had needed the crutches and he found them and until and unless the crutches were available he remained stood and his government remained intact and as soon the crutches were removed he fell down on the earth. She said that PML-N is masses party from over last 30 years and believes in strength of masses after Almighty Allah and serves the masses and then approaches masses for the decision, adding that PML-N did not need of crutches.

Former governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, former information minister Parvez Rashid, captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar, Sajjad Khan, Babar Nawaz Khan Jadoon, MPA Hina Parvez Butt and other PML-N leaders were also present on the occasion.
