Shazia Marri distributes cheques among deserving women under Interest Free Loan programme by Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund


QUETTA, July 01 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Ms Shazia Atta Marri has distributed cheques among deserving women under Interest Free Loan programme by Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund on Friday in Quetta.

Meanwhile Shazia Marri also distributed wheelchairs among deserving women.

According to details Shazia Atta Marri on Friday attended the ceremony held in a local hotel of Quetta for distribution of the cheques among the deserving women of Balochistan under Interest Free Loan programme by Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund. Shazia Marri appreciated the women and prayed for their success.

Shazia Marri also distributed the wheelchairs among the deserving women on the occasion. Shazia Marri also addressed the participants of the ceremony on the occasion.

Separately Shazia Marri visited the BISP Quetta office and reviewed different sections. She was briefed by BISP Balochistan officials.

Meanwhile talking to media persons on the occasion Shazia Marri said that agreements have been made with IMF in view of the difficult circumstances. She said that BISP was started in 2008, adding that previous government made illegal effort to change the name of the program. She said that the previous government has brought the country at a situation where we have to take difficult decisions.

Shazia Marri said that Asif Ali Zardari had given Aghaze Haqooq Package to the people of Balochistan, adding that it is our effort to further provide facilities to the people of Balochistan. She said that prime minister has visited Balochistan and it will help end the deprivation realization of the province. She said that 8 million families are being benefited from Benazir Income Support Program, adding that in view of the current circumstances the number of beneficiary families will be increased.
