Shahid Khaqan Abbasi holds meeting with Maryam Nawaz Sharif

LAHORE, Feb 16 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday met with the party’s Senior Vice-President and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore.

According to a private TV channel, during the meeting Maryam Nawaz said that she was sister of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and wanted to take the party forwards while taking guidance from him.

She further said that not only he would be included in all big decisions but guidance would also be taken from him. 

They also discussed matters pertaining to the organizational structure of the pay and overall political situation came under discussion during the meeting between two leaders. The meeting was held at the party’s central secretariat in Model Town.

She said that PML-N doesn’t only belong to her but all together will strengthen the party under the leadership of PML-N supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. She further said that sacrifices rendered by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi were laudable and those can never be forgotten.

On this occasion, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Nawaz Sharif was his leader and he has always been guiding Shehbaz Sharif and added he loves Nawaz Sharif which was why he was part of PML-N.

Meanwhile, in a twitter statement, Maryam Nawaz said despite the courts orders, ex-PM Imran Khan did not appear before the court which was a slap on the law and justice system of the country.

“He who claims of bringing the powerful segments under the law, was himself violating it while all were playing the role of mute spectators,” she added.
