Shabir Ahmed Shah backs APHC’s call for a state-wide strike against forced eviction and land grabbing campaign in IoK

SRINAGAR, Feb 14 (SABAH): Jammu and Kashmir, Democratic Freedom Party has appealed to the Kashmiri people to observe a complete shutdown tomorrow (Wednesday), against the Indian apartheid regime’s forced eviction and land grabbing campaign in Kashmir.

In his message from Tihar jail the DFP Chief Shabir Ahmed Shah while voicing his party’s serious concern over the ongoing land eviction campaign said that after stripping the region of it’s special status the Modi government was now hell bent on snatching livelihoods from Kashmiris and depriving of their land and properties they had inherited from their fathers and forefathers.

Urging people to come forward in a big way to thwart the RSS influenced regime’s nefarious designs Shabir Ahmed Shah said that it was high time that the Kashmiris regardless of their political affiliations should unite to protect the state’s distinct identity by resistance New Delhi’s move to settle non-Kashmiris in the territory.

Shabir Ahmed Shah said the land eviction campaign was a deep rooted conspiracy aimed at diluting the identity of the indigenous people and reducing them as second class citizens in their own homeland.

Backing the Hurriyat’s call for a state wide strike on 15 February, the DFP chief appealed the masses to observe complete strike on the day to express their resentment against the move.
