Sewing machines & certificates distributed by Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust Lahore among female students completing sewing course


LAHORE, August 02 (SABAH): Sewing machines and diploma certificates were distributed by Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust Lahore among the female students completing 6 and 12 months diploma courses.

The certificates awarding ceremony was presided over by Manager Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust Lahore Community Services Afshan Tahir; whereas, the special guest to the event was Zar Afshan Farheen, Program Manager of AlKhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust said that in Alkhidmat Foundation, female students got an opportunity of religious education along with vocational training.

She said that at present, hundreds of women are playing an important role in the support of their families by earning a dignified livelihood by getting skilled education in other fields including sewing and embroidery from Alkhidmat Foundation.

PP Nazma Salma Waqas gave a lecture on the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) and said that the sacrifice that the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) showed in the field of Karbala and offering martyrdom of all his companions, exalted the religion of his grandfather Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). She emphasized that the sacrifice would be remembered till the Day of Judgment.

She noted that not only sewing and other courses were offered to the students there but they also get the best opportunity to increase their understanding of the Holy Quran.

Manager Community Services Afshan Tahir said that the purpose of Alkhidmat was to make the students skilled and also to teach them how to live a conscious life.

On this occasion, certificates and sewing machines were distributed to the students who completed the course and handicrafts made by the students were also exhibited while the teachers were also awarded with various gifts.
