Senator Rubina Khalid emphasis on online sales of products through digital marketing & innovation in fashion design for students under training
PESHAWAR, Jan 31 (SABAHP): Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, visited the Government Technical and Vocational Center Gulbahar and the Government Gems and Jewelry Training Center Hayatabad in Peshawar on Friday. Principal Saeed Ahmed welcomed her upon arrival. During the visit, Senator Rubina Khalid inspected various training sessions and stalls set up by the trainees and encouraged them.
While speaking to the officials of the institutions, Chairperson Rubina Khalid emphasized the importance of training students in digital marketing. She stated that digital marketing enables youth to start businesses from home, allowing them to become financially independent rather than relying on others. Through digital platforms, they can expand their reach and sell their products online.
Senator Rubina Khalid also provided valuable advice to fashion designing students, guiding them on market-preferred color combinations that can attract consumers.
Addressing media representatives on the occasion, Senator Rubina Khalid said that her visit is part of BISP’s ongoing efforts to collaborate with training institutions, develop skills, and enhance entrepreneurial capabilities among beneficiaries.
She further stated that Bibi Shaheed’s words, “Skill is your asset,”are not just a statement but a complete philosophy. Skill is a form of wealth that no one can take away. Under this vision, BISP has launched the Benazir Hunar Mand Program to provide skill training to deserving individuals. The aim is to increase their income, enable them to contribute to the national economy, and even secure employment abroad to bring foreign exchange to the country. We are confident that the Benazir Hunar Mand Program will be a successful initiative and we will soon expand it further, she added.
Later, Senator Rubina Khalid visited the BISP Tehsil Office Town 3 Pushtkhara in Peshawar, where she interacted with deserving women, listened to their problems, and reviewed the arrangements. Senator Rubina Khalid advised the women to be cautious of fraudulent elements using BISP’s name. She emphasized that there is no fee for the BISP survey, nor is there any form, and any message from a number other than 8171 is fraudulent. Furthermore, she directed the women to immediately report any deductions from their amount.
