Senator Irfan Siddiqui stresses need for modern diplomatic strategy

ISLAMABAD, July 03 (SABAH): Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Parliamentary Party Leader in the Senate and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, emphasized the importance of modernizing diplomatic practices to meet contemporary challenges. Addressing the need to align Pakistani diplomatic efforts with global standards, Senator Irfan Siddiqui underscored that effective diplomacy has evolved into a sophisticated science.

He made these remarks during a meeting with Muhammad Cyrus Sajjad Qazi, the Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who called on him on Wednesday at Senate Secretariat. Cyrus Sajjad Qazi extended felicitations to Senator Irfan Siddiqui on his recent election as the Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and expressed optimism that the committee’s insights and guidance would greatly benefit the Foreign Office’s operations.

Senator Irfan Siddiqui assured that the Senate Committee would actively support the Foreign Office, acting as a think tank to foster strategic and informed diplomatic initiatives.
