Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar takes over portfolio of law & justice ministry again
ISLAMABAD, Nov 30 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Chaudhry Azam Nazeer Tarar has been reinstated as the federal minister for law and justice, on Wednesday, after Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif rejected his resignation on Tuesday.
According to a notification issued by Senior Joint Secretary Cabinet Division Taimur Tajamul on Wednesday, Azam Nazeer Tarar was allocated the law and justice portfolio while Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Political Affairs Sardar Ayaz Sadiq ceased to hold the portfolio of law and justice ministry. The copies of the notification have been sent to all the concerned officials.
Meanwhile on Wednesday, Azam Nazeer Tarar assured the charge of law and justice ministry again. He was warmly received by the staff of the ministry upon arrival.
A delegation of federal ministers visited Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar’s residence in Islamabad on Tuesday and requested him to return to his portfolio as the law minister.
They included Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Economic Affairs Minister Ayaz Sadiq, Railways Minister Khawaja Muhammad Saad Rafique and SAPM on Defense Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan.
