Senate is the forum which provides equal representation to all the provinces: Sadiq Sanjrani

ISLAMABAD, Mar 01 (SABAH): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali called on Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani at the Parliament House on Wednesday.

In the meeting, development Programmes for the uplift of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, public welfare measures and other issues were discussed. Chairman Senate emphasized the need of effective coordination with Province in order to speed up the development Projects of the said Province. Senate is the forum which provides equal representation to all the provinces. The upper house strives to bring the backward areas into the mainstream of development.

Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani informed the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa about the golden jubilee celebrations of the Senate and said that considering the economic situation of the country, it has been decided that the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Senate will be celebrated in a simple and dignified manner.  The Senate Chairman further said that the Golden Jubilee of the Senate is a historic occasion and it will help us to highlight the importance of promoting national unity.

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa offered gratitude to Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani and emphasized on support and coordination.  The governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that with the cooperation of the federation, measures are being taken to improve the quality of life of the people and development projects in the entire province, especially in the merged districts.
