Security forces kill four terrorists in Zhob District & North Waziristan

RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (SABAH): In early hours of 09 October 2024, a group of terrorists tried to attack a Frontier Corps’ Post in Zhob District.

According to the statement issued by the ISPR, the attempt to enter the camp was effectively thwarted by the security forces personnel, and resultantly two terrorists, including a suicide bomber and HVT Terrorist Umar @ Umari, were sent to hell, before they could cause the intended damage.

Terrorist Umar@ Umari was involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as innocent civilians, including recent attack on convoy of Deputy Commissioner, Sherani.

However, during intense exchange of fire, Havildar Jamshed Khan (age: 39 years; resident of: Dera Bugti District), having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat.

Sanitization operation is being conducted to neutralize any other terrorist present in the area.

Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan, and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve.

Meanwhile two Khwarij were killed by the security forces in an intelligence based operation in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan.

The operation was carried out on the reports regarding presence of terrorists in the area.

During the conduct of the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place between own troops and Khwarij, as a result of which, two Khwarij were sent to hell.

Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as target killing of innocent civilians in the area.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appreciated the security forces for conducting successful operation against Khwarij terrorists in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan.

In a statement, the Prime Minister paid a tribute to the security forces for sending two Khwarij terrorists to hell.

The killed terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces and innocent civilians.

PM Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed his commitment to eradicating terrorism in all its forms from the motherland.  The Prime Minister said the entire nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with brave security forces.
