Security forces kill 12 Khwarij in North & South Wazristan Districts: ISPR
RAWALPINDI, Sep 20 (SABAH): On 19/20 September 2024, two fierce encounters took place between own troops and the terrorists in North and South Waziristan Districts, resulting in killing of 12 Khwarij.
According to the statement issued by the ISPR, on 19 September, movement of group of seven terrorists, trying to infiltrate Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was detected by security forces in general area Spinwam, North Waziristan District. The infiltrators were surrounded, effectively engaged and after an intense fire exchange, all seven khwarij were sent to hell. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered.
In a second incident in general area Ladha, South Waziristan District, a group of khwarij attacked a security forces’ post. Own troops fought bravely, foiling the attempts of intrusion and killed five Khwarij. However, during intense exchange of fire, six brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat.
Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji present in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthens our resolve.
Meanwhile Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has paid tribute to security forces for successfully eliminating 12 Fitna Al Khwarij terrorists in North and South Waziristan. He paid homage to the six brave soldiers who laid their lives during the operation. He also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of martyrs. The Interior Minister said that the terrorists launched a cowardly attack under the cover of darkness, but our six brave security personnels sacrificed their lives to defeat their nefarious designs.
He stated that we salute the security forces for foiling the Khawarij terrorists’ evil intentions. He added, “Our martyrs are our pride and their supreme sacrifices will be always remembered” Mohsin Naqvi reassured that the nation stands united against terrorism and will not be deterred by such attacks.
He expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs and shares their grief. “The nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in the fight against terrorism,” he said.
