Secretary General OIC Hissein Brahim Taha pledges OIC’s full support for the Kashmir cause

MUZAFFARABAD, Dec 11, (SABAH): Secretary General Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha visited Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. He was also accompanied by Advisor to PM on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Chaudhry Qamar Zaman Kaira.

OIC Secretary General laid wreath at the Jammu and Kashmir Monument in Muzaffarabad. Paid his respects and offered fateha in memory of people who sacrificed their lives for the Kashmir cause.

Hissein Brahim Taha was received by the President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry and Prime Minister of AJK Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan. They had fruitful discussions on Kashmir issue.

SG OIC expressed his deep sentiments for people of Kashmir after witnessing the grave atrocities and Human Rights violations committed by Indian Forces. He pledged OIC’s full support for the Kashmir cause.

The meeting was followed by a Luncheon hosted by the President in the honour of OIC and his delegation.

The OIC Secretary General also visited line of control Chakothi sector and met with families of Kashmiri victims of cross border firing.
