Says Imran Khan wants to create unrest & anarchy in country but the whole nation & all political parties jointly will stop him with full force

ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (SABAH): Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has said by-polls held on Sunday on 8 seats of National Assembly and 3 seats of Punjab Assembly were held in a free and fair manner. Rana Sanuallah says the government is unaware what he is going to do, adding that we knew very well what you are going to do and we have no doubt and ambiguity in this regard also that what we will do with you, there is complete clarity on this matter. Rana Sanaullah said if Imran Khan will try to assault Islamabad through a group of people then we will stop him with full force, adding that we will protect democracy and rule of law and also protect the constitution and parliament of the country and will provide opportunity to democratic norms to move forward in the country. He said that if Imran Khan will try decision regarding long march towards Islamabad or will decide to assault Islamabad then he will be given befitting response with full force. He said that Imran Khan wants to create unrest and anarchy in the country but the whole nation and all political parties jointly will stop him with full force.

Addressing a news conference at Press Information Department (PID) in Islamabad on Monday, Rana Sanaullah Khan said this is a testimony to the fact that the institutions are fulfilling their responsibilities within the constitutional ambit.

He said the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) especially deserves appreciation for conducting the by-polls in a responsible and impartial manner.

The Interior Minister said the PTI Chairman Imran Khan is resorting to baseless defamatory propaganda against the Chief Election Commissioner.

Rana Sanaullah Khan said if the PTI leadership wants us to accept the decision of their voters then they will also have to accept the decision of those who voted in favor of the PDM candidates. He said democratic posture warrants that results of free and fair elections are accepted.

Alluding to the votes polled in favor of PML-N candidates in different constituencies, the Interior Minister said his party has secured more votes this time.

The Interior Minister said we have always rendered sacrifices for the cause of democracy and rule of law in the country. He said it was in the PTI era that we also faced fake cases.

Rana Sanaullah said the general elections will be held on time and at that time, the PTI will not have the support of its provincial governments. He said the present government has taken difficult decisions and saved the country from default. He expressed the commitment to reduce the price hike and provide relief to the common man. He said that nearly 15 to 20 thousand additional votes were cast in favor of Imran Khan in every constituency due to utility bills and high electricity bills received by people last month and current month. He said that the difference in votes will be decreased in next general elections at any cost.

Rana Sanaullah said that Imran Khan’s government was ousted while adopting the constitutional way of tabling no-confidence motion, adding that we did not attack Islamabad and did not brought any group of people to topple the government of Imran Khan.

Rana Sanaullah said that the Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab secured his arrest warrants while tempering the record and misleading the court and then started media campaign that the arrest warrants for interior minister has been issued.
