Samsung hands over Rs 18 million donation cheque for flood affectees to Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan
LAHORE, Sep 12 (SABAH): Popular electronics brand Samsung has landed in the field to serve the people affected from the heavy rains and floods by donating Rs 18 million to Alkhidmat Foundation.
This amount will be consumed for installation of water filtration plants, mobile clinics, medicines, surgical instruments, tents and for provision of ration to the flood victims.
A delegation of Samsung visited Alkhidmat Complex and handed over the cash assistance cheque to office-bearers of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistna.
President Alkhidmat Foundation Central Punjab, Ikramul Haq Subhani, Secretary General Rana Usman Wadood and office-bearers of Samsung Company were also present on this occasion.
Participants of Samsung’s delegation said that current flood disaster rattled the entire nation and appreciated the services rendered by Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan during this situation.
They further said, for flood victims of Balochistan, Sindh and South Punjab, Samsung will keep continue its cooperation with Alkhidmat Foundation in the future as well.
On this occasion, Ikramul Haq Subhani, said that philanthropists, common Pakistanis and now Samsung like organisations are expressing their full confidence in Alkhidmat Foundation for helping out flood victims as well as enthusiastically taking part in aid campaign. “We highly regard the confidence of this nation,” he concluded.
