Sacrifices by armed forces for country & nation will never go in waste: PM Shehbaz

LAHORE, June 09 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif attended the funeral and burial of Shaheed Captain Faraz Ilyas near Chunian on Monday.

The martyred captain was laid to rest with full military honors who embraced martyrdom in a terrorist attack at Lakki Marwat along with six brave jawans.

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar Advocate and high up military officials and a large number of local people also participated in funeral prayer.

Prime Minister laid floral wreath over Shaheed’ grave and offered fateha. While expressing condolences with Shaheed’ parents, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid rich tribute to the unprecedented sacrifices being rendered by brave armed forces while fighting against terrorism.

He said that sacrifices by armed forces for country and nation will never go in waste. The Prime Minister also announced to name the village with Captain Faraz Ilyas’s name to honor his sacrifice. He also announced to make the village a model village. “Cowardly terrorists will not succeed in shaking our firm resolve for peace,” he vowed.

The 26-year old Shaheed Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas from Rai Kalan village of Kasur, showed courage and bravery near Lucky Marwat and even sacrificed his life while performing his duties.
