Rule of ‘might is right’ still prevails in the country: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE, Feb 23 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that rule of ‘might is right’ still prevails in the country. He demanded of holding the criminals involved in Barkhan incident accountable while teaching them a lesson by setting up an example for others. He said if the cruel people were taught a lesson such incidents will not recur.

Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing the participants of central training session on Thursday at Mansoorah. He further said that chief minister of Balochistan should resign from his position on the incident and added his cabinet member inflicted barbaric acts against a family and urged the Supreme Court to constitute a larger bench to investigate the matter, saying murder of one human being is murder of humanity. “Private jails, private death cells and private courts…. Is this system of the government of the country?” he questioned.

Taking jibe at the current situation of the country, emir Jamaat-e-Islami said the courts appealed to the powerful people to appear before them whereas the oppressed segments of the society were tortured at the police stations.

Sirajul Haq further said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were parties of feudal lords and corrupt capitalists who didn’t value the population of the country at all. People who were part of such parties and given tickets once and again have their private jails, he deplored and added such people don’t pay taxes which deteriorated economy of the country.

He said first of all Jamaat-e-Islami took up the issue of oppressed family in the Upper House of the Parliament, adding Jamaat-e-Islami was fighting the case of the masses. Jamaat-e-Islami staged a march against inflation from Lahore to Islamabad, he said and added it also took out Peshawar Aman March against chaos in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

During the floods in Sindh, Jamaat-e-Islami played an important role by leading from the front, he said. He said it worked hard for holding local bodies’ polls in Karachi. He said Jamaat-e-Islami feels pain of the ummah as it dispatched volunteers to Turkiye and Syria during the recent earthquake.

Sirajul Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami was struggling for enforcement of Islamic System in the country and appealed to the nation to take proper decision as fate of the country lays into its hands. The corrupt troika he said was loyal to colonial powers will not allow change to occur in the society even in the next 100 years. If future generations were to be saved from slavery then the masses should standby the Jamaat-e-Islami, he added.
