Rich tributes paid to Sajjad Ahmad Kenu on martyrdom anniversary in IIOJK
SRINAGAR, Jan 07 (SABAH): Rich tributes were paid to prominent martyred liberation activist, Sajjad Ahmad Kenu, on his martyrdom anniversary, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Indian forces martyred Sajjad Kenu in Islamabad town on January 08, 1996.
Senior APHC leader and Chairperson Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, Farida Behanji in a statement issued in Srinagar said Shaheed Sajjad Ahmed Kenu sacrificed his life for the Kashmir cause. She said that Sajjad was martyred by Indian forces after subjecting him to mental and physical torture in Indian jails for many years.
Farida Behanji reiterated the Kashmiris pledge to continue the mission of their martyrs till complete success, adding that every kind of sacrifice would be offered for securing right to self-determination.
Meanwhile, other Mass Movement leaders Abdur Rashid Lone.
Prince Muhammad Saleem, Manzoor Ahmad Dar and Mairaj-ud Din while paying tribute to Sajjad Ahmad Kenu said that Kashmiri people, particularly youth, were rendering their lives for freedom from India’s illegal occupation and their sacrifices would not be allowed go waste. They said that India would not be able to stop the Kashmiris from their just struggle for right to self-determination through oppression.
