ISLAMABAD, Oct 05 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said the revised United Nations appeal for $816 million for flood victims underscores need for continued global engagement.
In a tweet issued on Wednesday, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that with food and health crisis becoming graver, we need to ramp up action. He also thanked UN Secretary General António Guterres for his leadership in articulating needs of people affected by disastrous floods.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has conveyed prayers and best wishes to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto for the early recovery and complete health of his father Asif Ali Zardari.
In a tweet on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said he talked to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and inquired after his father.
“Spoke to @BBhuttoZardari to inquire after the health of PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari. I conveyed my prayers and best wishes to him for early recovery and complete health of Zardari sahib” PM Shehbaz Sharif tweeted.
