Retired secretaries, Ministry of Information should play role of a think tank: Senator Irfan Siddiqui

ISLAMABAD, Sep 26 (SABAH): Senator Irfan Siddiqui, the parliamentary party leader of the Muslim League (N) in the Senate and the head of the foreign affairs committee, has said that the information secretary each of the retired bureaucrats has the status of an academy in his place.

He said, “You guys can best train and guide the youth. Playing a role as a think tank you should guide the government and related institutions regarding the information sector.”

He said this in his honor at a lunch given by the former secretaries of information. Retired Information Secretary Khawaja Ijaz Sarwar, Syed Anwar Mehmood, Ashfaq Gondal, Saba Mohsin, Imran Gardizi, Chaudhry Rashid Ahmed, Zahid Parveen, Shaheera Shahid, Saeeda Tahir Khaili, Shafqat Jalil and Ra Tahsin Ali Khan attended the luncheon.

The participants thanked Senator Irfan Siddiqui and said that he has always been very helpful in the problems of journalists and the affairs of the Ministry of Information.
