Restrictions in Jammu and Kashmir have been further tightened ahead of Modi’s visit: Mushaal

ISLAMABAD, Jan 13 (SABAH): Mushaal Hussein Mullick Chairperson Peace and Culture Organisation and wife of Jailed Kashmiri Hurriyat Leader Mohammad Yasin Malik has stated that before Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, the restrictions in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been further tightened.

In a video message, Mashal Malik said that the restrictions in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been intensified ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, which has increased the difficulties for the people.

During his visit, Narendra Modi will inaugurate a tunnel in the Sonamarg area of the Ganderbal district, she said. A heavy deployment of Indian soldiers, paramilitary forces, and police personnel has been made throughout the Kashmir Valley, particularly in Sonamarg, she added.

The patrols by security forces and surveillance through drone cameras have been intensified, she said and added additional checkpoints have been set up to check vehicles and their passengers.
