Resolution of problems lies only with the politicians & not with establishment or judiciary: Sirajul Haq
ISLAMABAD, April 27 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq has said that resolution of problems lies only with the politicians and not with establishment or judiciary.
Sirajul Haq expressed these views during an interview with a private TV channel here on Thursday. He further said that the politicians should show the sense of responsibility and added that if country is one then single election must be conducted at the Centre and the four provinces. He said that the elections were in the offing but if the political parties don’t reach a consensus, it would give a rise to the anarchy and disorder in the country. He said, “Mutual fighting will lead to anarchy, we have to break our ego, which is impeding the dialogue.”
He said that there is a need to save the country and the nation and commented, “We have to provide a conducive environment to the nation for conducting free, fair and transparent elections in the country.”
“The issue has not been out of the control, hopefully it will be decided soon,” he said and added “I want to make a way out for the conduct of free, fair and transparent elections through the political dialogue process.”
He said that problems of the country couldn’t be resolved in the absence of the elections and added the political anarchy would further dent the economy of the country. “Really I don’t want to see that my homeland is converted into a battlefield on the lines of Libya, Syria and Sudan,” he remarked.
He deplored that political parties were touching extremes which should have not happened that is why he [Sirajul Haq] had urged the Supreme Court of Pakistan to adopt a middle way to sort out issues, hence all the political leadership and the court need to ponder on the matter.
Sirajul Haq stressed upon the need of dialogue for sorting out issues and added now all political parties were being suggested to sort out issues through dialogue, which in fact a good development. There is a worse poisonous polarization among the political parties which is damaging the interests of poor masses of the country, he said, adding on the other side inflation was further exacerbating the situation. He said that the ruling alliance should show sincerity and should become agree on formation of the caretaker governments at center and provinces.
