Relief aid has been sent to victims of Gaza with cooperation of NDMA: Prof. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman
RAWALPINDI, Nov 7 (SABAH): President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman has said that relief aid has been sent to victims of Gaza through Cargo Plane 474 in Egypt El Arish Airport with the cooperation of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said they are in a position to send further five planes and added the assistance contains eatable commodities, medicines and other kinds of assistance.
He further revealed that doctors and paramedical staff registered with them are also ready to go for assisting the victims who are injured. Till now 2247 doctors and para medical staff has been registered including 1600 specialist doctors. He said in this relief mission over 45 percent have presented themselves as volunteers.
In Gaza, 25000 injured individuals are in dire need of assistance as 16 out of 25 hospitals have been closed down, Prof. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said and added even the basic health capability is left half now.
Ahead of sending medicines, eatable commodities and other kinds of assistance with the help of NDMA while talking to media persons, Prof. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said they prefer that these doctors and para medical staff should reach Gaza and start checking the patients and the injured people.
He further said if they could not enter Gaza, then would want to establish a field hospital in Egypt near Gaza which would be equipped with facilities to do medical checkup of the injured and the patients.
