RCCI elects executive body for 2022-23 unopposed
RAWALPINDI, Sep 08 (SABAH): The election of corporate and associate class has been completed in the first phase of the annual election of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) for the year 2022-23. All 10 unopposed elected members of the Executive Committee belong to the Mian Parvez Aslam Group. Now polling will not be held on September 13
Eight candidates filed nomination papers for five seats of corporate class, three withdrew while 22 candidates filed papers for five associate class seats, 17 withdrew their nomination papers and the remaining five candidates were declared uncontested.
On this occasion, the group leader of Rawalpindi Chamber, Sohail Altaf, while congratulating the newly elected executive members, said that the unparalleled success of all the members is a manifestation of the strong confidence of the businessmen and industrialists community of the region on the policies of Mian Parvez Islam Group.
The 3-member Election Commission consisting of Zahoor Ahmad Malik, Muhammad Badr Haroon and Rizwan Mashhadhi announced that Abdul Rauf, Muhammad Hamza Sarosh, Shahid Qayyum, Chaudhry Jameel Ahmed and Kashif Rahim were elected to the five corporate seats of the executive committee while Muhammad Akram, Ikram-ur-Rehman Abbasi, Abu Baker Siddique, Saqib Rafiq and Asad Aftab were elected unopposed to the five associate class seats.
