Rana Sanaullah strongly condemns recent deplorable incident at Masjid e Nabvi (SAWW)
LAHORE, May 01 (SABAH): Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has strongly condemned the recent deplorable incident at Masjid e Nabvi (SAWW), declaring that the government will not create hurdle if any citizen wants to take any legal action against the accused culprits.
He was addressing a news conference in Lahore on Sunday, along with Minister for Law and Justice Senator Chaudhry Azam Nazir Tarar Advocate.
He said that this tragic incident has caused shock and sorrow all around. He said that FIRs have been registered and all concerned quarters have been directed to take action on merit in accordance with law.
He said that PTI’ call for protest on Chaand Raat is beyond understanding. He said action will be taken against all persons who will take law into their own hands.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar any Pakistani citizen can be prosecuted inside Pakistan, who is accused of any offence abroad. He clarified that FIRs have not been registered under Blasphemy law.
He said that the Government cannot sit silent on the insult of holy worship places. He said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed not to take action against any innocent person, not involved in this deplorable incident.
To a question, regarding the oath taking of the new Punjab Chief Minister, the Law Minister praised the restraint shown by the judiciary on the oath-taking issue.
