Rana Sanaullah plays alleged leaked audio clip of Gandapur while asking unknown person about bringing arms and ammunition

ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (SABAH): Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has claimed that former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan was planning to kill his workers through armed men, who he said were part of his long march aimed at spreading “anarchy and chaos” in the country.

The interior minister said the armed men were present in the PTI’s long march towards Islamabad and another armed group will join the caravan from Gujrat.

“They [PTI] are going to spread mischief and anarchy and they want to create a national tragedy by killing people,” he said while addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday.

Sanaullah released an audio leak of Gandapur where he can be heard speaking to an unknown person about bringing arms and ammunition.

The interior minister claimed that as per initial investigations details of this conversation have been secured by the ministry, however, he refused to reveal the identity of the unknown person allegedly speaking to the PTI leader.

In response to a question, Sanaullah said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government should immediately arrest Gandapur and the unknown person. He also stated that all information has also been shared with the Punjab government, urging it to immediately crack down on mobs. “If the chief secretary and inspector-general fail to arrest these people the onus would be on them,” he asserted.
