Rainfall during night sank Karachi city which unearthed performance of PPP: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman

KARACHI, Feb 4 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that rainfall during night sank Karachi city which unearthed performance of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). Rainfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Lahore don’t affect normal life routine while in Karachi life stops due to downpour.

During a press conference in Karachi, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Engr. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and PPP both sold out mandate of the city to the notables. He said that resources are wasted in corruption. During the rainfall, the city of Karachi had been sunk in the water.

He said that local bodies’ representatives of Jamaat-e-Islami were present on the roads throughout the night. He said that representatives of our town cleared a number of areas. He said in the projects, 70 percent corruption is involved so what would be done in remaining 30 percent. During the night, rainfall measured at 52 mm and the city sank into the water which unfolded performance of the PPP. He said that PPP is using billions of rupees on elections campaigns.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the entire Shahrah-e-Faisal was sunk into the water which is why people reached at homes at 3:00 am. It happened as the KMC did not fulfill its responsibility, he said; however our chairmen and counsellors remained on roads prior to any directions to them. He said mayor has full powers due to which taxes are being imposed on the citizens. He said they have full hold on provincial institutions.

After rainfall of previous day, citizens were thinking that there is no one who cares about the city. He said the citizens drink water mixed with the sewerage water.

He further said that they would not allow anyone to win through ROs and DROs. He said MQM claims that it does not need support of anyone and added today nothing would happen with the support of 10 parties.
