LAHORE, Feb 27 (SABAH): Uzma Muhammad Ali, Manager Alkhidmat Foundation Women Trust Lahore Community Services, stated that the purpose of distributing wedding gifts among deserving families is to support parents in the marriage of their daughters. She prayed that Almighty Allah bless these daughters with good fortune and a successful married life.

Uzma Muhammad Ali expressed these views during a ceremony held for the distribution of wedding gifts among deserving families on Thursday. On this occasion, respected Safia, member of Falahe Khandan, enlightened the attendees about the importance and virtues of Nikah in the light of the Quran, Sunnah, and Hadith.

Uzma Muhammad Ali further stated that Alkhidmat Women Trust has provided wedding gifts to thousands of deserving girls, who are now living successful lives in their homes.

She stated that Alkhidmat Foundation is also playing a significant role in various other fields, including the religious and worldly education of women, enabling them to earn a respectable livelihood, and ensuring their welfare and well-being.

Safia, highlighting the importance of Nikah, said that marriage is not just a bond between two individuals but a religious obligation that holds great significance in Islam, adding in Hadith, it has been described as half of faith. The Prophet (PBUH) said whoever marries has safeguarded half of their faith, and they should be mindful of the remaining half, she added.

She further mentioned that the Quran and Hadith provide complete guidance on matters related to marriage and divorce, but unfortunately, we do not study them.

Talat Khan, the in-charge of the wedding program, expressed gratitude to the esteemed guests. The attendees appreciated the efforts of Alkhidmat Women Trust and acknowledged that Alkhidmat Foundation has become a symbol of humanitarian service not only in Pakistan but also abroad.
