PTI sold tickets during 2018 general elections, afterwards in bye-elections: Vawda

ISLAMABAD, Jan 21 (SABAH): Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and ex-federal minister Muhammad Faisal Vawda has said the general elections could not be held in timely manner if the political situation does not normalize as Constitution and law permit to extend the tenure of the National Assembly.

Expressing his views in an interview with a private TV channel, Faisal Vawda said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) sold tickets during 2018 general elections and afterwards in bye-elections and added those were loyal more than the king himself indeed commit this activity.

“Each and everywhere the tickets are sold. There is no need to harm Imran Khan as his party people are sufficient to do so. If such redundant people remained along with the party chief, the PTI would suffer crushing defeat during the next elections that even he would not be able to able to think what had happened. He said the PPP will remain successful in getting appointed its mayor of Karachi as money has much might,” he said.

He further said if on the lines of Multan, PTI chief allows its supporters to go for contesting the elections they would be defeated and that they may check it. A PTI leader who also worked as minister, belonging to Faisalabad had not even a cart, had a land cruiser, he revealed, and added the former minister must be investigated that had he sold out property of his forefathers that he purchased it.

Majority of our Cabinet members were honest but a few were very corrupt, he claimed and continued out of 50 Cabinet members, 10 were openly thieves. He said that Imran Khan was being exploited and added that now the sword of disqualification was hanging in the air on him. 50 to 60 days were sufficient in the Pakistani politics for a change to happen, he added.

He claimed that economic situation of the country will improve in the next 45 to 60 days and that the politics would be played totally in a different manner. He said, “I cannot understand which factors forced Imran Khan to do so. Only weakness of PTI chief is to have blind faith on these snakes, while thinking they are cleansing his way but the case is otherwise. People want to replace him. Follies being committed by PTI chief are impossible to repair. There are palpable chances of his disqualification,” he added.

“I took stand when issue of life of Imran Khan erupted and saved him as well as other people,” he said and added what was the outcome of long march. The former PTI leader said he was seeing disqualification of PTI chief in Toshakhana, foreign funding case and alleged daughter cases and added if they were not seeing the same it would be bad luck.

Faisal Vawda said that the PTI had to face a crushing defeat during the local bodies’ polls in Karachi and Sindh and suggested Imran Khan to purge of its party from the present people then his goal will be the sky. “It was being discussed in the PTI that Imran Khan be made patron-in-chief. Did Imran benefit from the clash or the country?” he questioned.
