PTI had tried to stop CPEC in 2014 & is now attempting to sabotage the SCO Summit in Pakistan: Khawaja Asif
SIALKOT, Oct 05 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that the country’s interests will be protected at any cost.
Talking to newsmen in Sialkot on Saturday, Khawaja Asif said the government is committed to protecting the lives and property of the people. He said Pakistan has made significant efforts to play an effective role and establish a strong position at the global level.
He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had tried to stop China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in 2014 and is now attempting to sabotage the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Pakistan. He said that PTI is an armed organization which has been shifted here from Afghanistan. He said that there is no room of holding dialogues with them. He said that inviting Indian Foreign Minister to address is the question mark on the credibility of PTI. He said that the true face of founder of PTI has come in front of masses. He said that instead of inviting Jaishankar to address in Islamabad, PTI should hold gathering in New Delhi and should invite Modi in the gathering.
The Minister also said that PTI’s armed groups are on the verge of targeting the country’s dignity and Afghan nationals are also part of these groups. He also criticized Ali Ameen Gandapur for allegedly using the government resources of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
