PTI had pre-planned the violence & incited it at targeted places: Marriyum Aurangzeb

ISLAMABAD, May 13 (SABAH): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb says Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan should present himself for accountability if he considers himself innocent.        

In an interview with a private news channel, Marriyum Aurangzeb said NAB had arrested Imran Khan in accordance with law and the government had nothing to with it. The Minister said PML-N does not believe in vengeance and if we had any plan of arresting Imran Khan, we would have done it earlier.

She said it is PML-N led coalition government that amended NAB laws to facilitate the accused persons and Imran Khan is the first beneficiary of these amendments.                                                                      

Marriyum Aurangzeb strongly denounced how PTI reacted to Imran Khan’s arrest and wreaked havoc in the country.                                        

She said PTI had pre-planned the violence and incited it at targeted places. She added that evidence has been collected and all those involved in or behind the violence have been identified and will be made example of.             

Replying to a question about Pakistan Democratic Movement’s protest at Constitution Avenue in Islamabad on Monday, she said the demonstration will be peaceful.
