Providing basic facilities to citizens in all new sectors is among CDA’s top priorities: Muhammad Ali Randhawa

‎‎ISLAMABAD, April 14 (SABAH): Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa has stated that providing basic facilities to citizens in all new sectors is among CDA’s top priorities

‎ An important review meeting regarding sector development was held at CDA headquarters on Monday chaired by Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting reviewed in detail the progress made so far on development works in various sectors of the CDA.

‎The meeting was attended by the Member Environment, Member Engineering, Member Estate, Member Finance, Member Planning along with enforcement and other senior officers. 

‎During the meeting, senior officers briefed the Chairman CDA in detail about the completion of development works in Park Enclave I, II, and III, as well as pending development works. While briefing the meeting it was informed that road infrastructure work in Park Enclave I has been completed, and possession has also been handed over to allottees. 

‎Chairman CDA directed the installation of aesthetically pleasing soft landscaping and environmentally friendly tree plantations in Park Enclave. He also instructed the Environment Wing to identify a suitable location in Park Enclave for the construction of a park. He stated that commercial areas designated in Park Enclave should also be developed.

‎The Chairman CDA further directed that drone footage be used to monitor development works in Park Enclave and that detailed updates on development activities be regularly shared on the CDA website and the Sector Development social media page. 

‎Chairman CDA was also given a detailed briefing on the completion of development works in Park Enclave Phase II. The meeting was informed that possession has been handed over to more than 75% of plot owners in Park Enclave Phase II. 

‎Chairman CDA directed that possession be handed over to the remaining plot owners as soon as possible. He also instructed the Estate and Finance Wings to prioritize resolving all issues related to Built-Up Properties (BuP) in Park Enclave. Additionally, he ordered the demolition of illegal constructions and encroachments in Park Enclave Phase II to reclaim the land. 

‎Chairman CDA was also briefed on development works in Park Enclave Phase III. He was informed that electrical installations in Park Enclave Phase III will be completed within two months. Similarly, tenders for the installation of electricity poles and streetlights will soon be published in newspapers. The briefing further stated that civil work in Park Enclave has entered its final stages. 

‎Chairman CDA directed relevant officers to visit Park Enclave Phases I, II, and III to resolve issues on a priority basis. He instructed the Finance Wing to ensure the immediate release of funds for the completion of development works in Park Enclave. Chairman CDA also directed that the construction of boundary walls in Park Enclave Phase III be started soon and that basic facilities be ensured promptly. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized that, keeping in view the needs of residents, school plots and other amenity plots in Park Enclave should be introduced in accordance with CDA rules and regulations. 

‎Chairman CDA was also briefed on development works in Sector C-14. The meeting was informed that the base work for road infrastructure in Sector C-14 has been completed and the Finance Wing has released necessary funds to ensure the completion of remaining development works.

‎ Similarly, IESCO has issued demand notes for electricity supply in Sector C-14 and payments in this regard are being ensured. The meeting was informed that horticulture, lighting,  curb stones, drainage, sewerage and other development works in Sector C-14 are being completed. 

‎Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that providing basic facilities to citizens in all new sectors is among CDA’s top priorities. He directed the installation of modern solar streetlights, electricity poles and the completion of remaining works in Sector C-14. 

‎Chairman CDA was also briefed on progress in development works in Sector C-16. He was informed that infrastructure and culvert work in Sector C-16 is progressing rapidly. Chairman CDA directed the Planning and Estate Wings to immediately resolve all issues related to Built-Up Properties (BuP) in Sector C-16. 

‎The meeting also discussed progress in development works in Sector E-12. The Chairman CDA directed expediting measures to provide basic facilities, including signage boards in Sector E-12, keeping in view the needs of citizens.

‎He ordered the removal of all illegal constructions and encroachments in Sector E-12 to reclaim the land and instructed that all obstacles hindering development works in the sector be resolved on a priority basis. He also directed the Environment Wing to carry out aesthetically pleasing landscaping and tree plantations in Sector E-12. 

‎The meeting also discussed development works in Sector I-12. The briefing stated that most development works in Sector I-12 have been completed. Chairman CDA directed effective measures for garbage and waste disposal in Sector I-12. 

‎Chairman CDA stated that the development of all new sectors will be prioritized and expedited to completion. He added that possession of plots in completed sectors will be handed over immediately upon payment of development charges. He emphasized that all available resources should be utilized to ensure timely completion of development works in new sectors and the handing over of possession, leaving no stone unturned in this regard.
