Problems will not be resolved in result of holding elections in two provinces, there is need of unanimity on one date of polls in whole country: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE, April 02 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that the problems will not be resolved in result of holding elections in two provinces, there is need of unanimity on one date of polls in whole country. Sirjaul Haq has announced to contact all parliamentary parties for creating consensus on national polls and has also invited them to start the dialogues while using the platform of Mansoorah.

While addressing a press conference at Mansoorah on Sunday along with Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameerul Azim and JI Information Secretary Qaiser Sharif, Sirajul Haq said that the country is moving towards the constitutional crisis after political and economic crisis, adding that the play of rejecting each other is continued but there is no positive progress towards which the nation is waiting. Sirajul Haq said that we think that instead of negation of each other there is need of coming towards commonalities. He said that the fighting between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has created constitutional crisis in the country, adding that we reached at the point that my judge “zindabad” and your judge “murdabad”.

Sirjaul Haq said that the institutions are becoming controversial, adding that the matters will not be resolved in the courts, nor improvement will come in result of martial law, technocratic or presidential system. He said that the masses are the real heirs of the country and decision should have to be taken from them. He said that if the fighting between the PTI and PDM will remain continue there will be anarchy in the country and God forbid the situation could turned like Libya or Syria.

Sirjaul Haq said that the verdicts of the courts have become controversial, adding that prior to crisis reached at the stage of where it could not be resolved or where someone comes and announce “mere hamwatnon”, the politicians should sit together and should agree on the one date of holding elections in whole country. He said that the problems will not be resolved in result of holding elections in two provinces.

Sirajul Haq said that the judiciary and the military establishment could not solve the political crisis and ultimately, they were the politicians who had to come forward. He said the institutions should stand neutral in the interest of the country and strictly follow the lines drawn for them in the constitution.

He said the poor were paying the prices of the fight among the ruling parties and dying in queues at flour distribution centers. He said the people were burning in the fire of inflation, lawlessness and unemployment. He said the PDM and the PTI were least worried about the problems of common man as their governments desperately failed to deliver.

Sirajul Haq also announced that the JI would launch protest movement for the rights of people of Gwadar from May 1 and approach the Supreme Court for the release of Gwadar Right Movement leader Maulana Hidayatur Rahman Baloch. He said the rulers must address the problems of the people of Balochistan rather to push them to the wall. He said the JI would continue fight for the rights of people.
