Private credit off-take remained Rs911b during 9 months of current FY: Tarin


ISLAMABAD, March 26 (SABAH): Pakistan’s Finance Minister ShaukatTarin has said private credit off-take remained nine hundred and eleven billion rupees during the first nine months of current fiscal year as compared to 357 billion rupees of the same period last year.

In a tweet on Saturday, he said the substantial increase is indicating robust economic activity.

Finance Minister said the government has retired 291 billion rupees to State Bank of Pakistan, creating room for private sector.

Earlier Finance Minister ShaukatTarin has approved tax relief of ten percent on import of edible oil for the next two months.

He approved the tax relief at a meeting in Islamabad keeping in view the increase in the prices of edible oil in the international market.

The step has been taken to ensure smooth supply of edible oil to consumers.
