President Dr. Arif Alvi appoints Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman as Chief Justice of Federal Shariat Court
ISLAMABAD, May 30 (APP): President Dr. Arif Alvi on Tuesday appointed Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman as the Chief Justice of the Federal Shariat Court (FSC) for a period of three years.
The ministry of law and justice has issued notification regarding the appointment of Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman as Chief Justice Federal Shariat Court.
The notification says:
In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (2) of Article 203C of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is pleased to appoint Mr. Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman, former Judge, Supreme Court of Pakistan as Chief Justice of the Federal Shariat Court for a period of three years with effect from the date he makes oath of his office.
The copies of the notification have been sent to all the concerned officials.
