President Alvi, PM Shehbaz, Bilawal, Asif Zardari, Maulana Fazl, NA Speaker & Deputy Speaker, CM Balochistan, Asfanyar Wali, Liaqat Baloch, Naeemur Rehman condemn suicide attack on Sirajul Haq

ISLAMABAD/KARACHI/QUETTA, May 19 (SABAH): President Dr. Arif Alvi contacted Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq after the suicide attack occurred in Zhob on Friday and inquired after his health. President Dr. Arif Alvi wrote on twitter that with the blessings of Almighty Allah, Sirajul Haq remained safe in the suicide attack. President Alvi said that he has extended best wishes and prayers for him.

President Alvi said that he condemns the incident and pray for higher status in the heaven for the martyrs and also pray for early recovery of the injured persons. 

Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the suicide attack on Sirajul Haq’s convoy. PM Shehbaz Sharif “strongly” condemned the suicide attack, saying he has directed the Balochistan government to investigate the attack from all angles and bring the perpetrators involved in the attack to justice.

The premier prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and directed the concerned authorities to provide the best medical facilities to the injured.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemned the explosion near Sirajul Haq’s cavalcade in Zhob, expressing good wishes for Sirajul Haq.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari directed immediate treatment of those injured in the blast. “The explosion near Sirajul Haq’s convoy should be immediately investigated,” he added. Those responsible for the explosion should be brought to justice, he added.

Bilawal Bhutto condemned the explosion near Sirajul Haq’s convoy in Zhob and expressed good wishes for him. He expressed his condolences to the families of those who died in the blast and directed immediate treatment of those injured in the blast. Bilawal also directed an immediate investigation into the incident. “All those responsible for the blast should be brought to justice,” he maintained.

Former president and Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari also condemned the suicide attack near the convoy of Sirajul Haq and demanded immediate arrest of those behind the attack.

While expressing good wishes for Sirajul Haq, the PPP Co-Chairman also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the blast.

In his condemnation, Asif Ali Zardari called for the arrest of the planners of the attack.

He extended his wishes to Sirajul Haq and prayed for the fast recovery of the injured, a statement on the PPP’s Twitter said.

Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) President and Ameer Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman has strongly condemned the suicide attack on Emir JI Sirajul Haq. Maualan Fazlur Rehman has prayed for early recovery of the injured persons. In a statement issued on Friday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that attacks on the leaders of the political parties are matter of concern, adding that the whole nation is united against the terrorists. He said that elimination of terrorism is the top national agenda of the current government.

National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf and Deputy Speaker Zahid Akram Durrani also condemned the incident, expressing deep grief and sorrow over the loss of lives.

They prayed for the victims and extended their condolences to the bereaved, according to a statement on the NA’s Twitter.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has also expressed grief over the suicide blast. He said, “We are thankful to Allah, who protected the JI chief and his companions. “It is very unfortunate that people were injured in this incident.”

“The terrorists wanted to achieve their nefarious objectives by spreading fear and insecurity in the province. The militants and their patrons will not be allowed to succeed,” Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo maintained.

He said that he will not allow the terrorist elements and their patrons to succeed in their nefarious ambitions. He said he is deeply saddened that five people were injured in the incident, adding that he is grateful to the Almighty who protected the Sirajul Haq and his colleagues.

“We are grateful to Allah who protected the emir of JI and his colleagues,” he said. “It is deeply regretted that five people were injured in the incident.”

He said terrorists wanted to achieve their evil goals by spreading fear and insecurity in the province, adding that militants and their patrons will not be allowed to succeed.

Awami National Party Chief Asfanyar Wali Khan in a statement issued on twitter on Friday said that they condemn the attack on the convoy of Emir JI Sirajul in Zhob, adding that targeting the political leaders and workers is the conspiracy of the enemies of peace. He said that the government should bring the characters involved in the attack to justice. He said that best medical facilities should be provided to those injured in the attack. Asfandyar Wali Khan said that their best wishes are with Emir JI and his aides and pray for early recovery of the injured workers. 

Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and former Parliamentary Leader in National Assembly Liaqat Baloch in a statement issued on twitter said that the suicide attack on Sirajul Haq is the worst action of terrorism, adding that Almighty Allah kept Sirajul Haq safe. He said that voice of right could not be suppressed and removed. Liaqat Baloch prayed for the early recovery of the injured workers. Liaqat Baloch said that he talked to Emir JI Balochistan Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi present on the occasion and secured information about the incident.

Meanwhile Emir JI Karachi Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while strongly condemning the suicide attack on Sirajul Haq in Zhob area of Balochistan said that the attack is the failure of the government. He said that it is the responsibility of the government to protect the life and property all the political leaders and citizens. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said JI is the peaceful party and believes in constitutional, legal and democratic struggle, adding that we have always condemned the terrorism and raised voice for the suppressed people and segments of Balochistan and other parts of the country. 

Meanwhile after escaping from the bomb blast in Zhob, Sirajul Haq said that life and death are in the hands of Allah.

Addressing a public gathering, Sirajul Haq said, “I am not afraid of death.” Stressing the need for education, Sirajul Haq said his party wants to see a country where every child gets an education.

“I wanted to see peace and prosperity in the country. So-called political leaders and generals ruled the country,” he maintained.

Highlighting the unemployment issues in the country, Sirajul Haq rued, “There is no employment for the youth. The country is witnessing an increase in unemployment.”

Sirajul Haq underscored the problems facing Balochistan, he said, “Unemployment is increasing in Balochistan, which is the largest province in terms of all types of minerals.
