President Alvi phones martyred soldiers’ families, expresses condolences

ISLAMABAD, Dec 12 (SABAH): President Arif Alvi on Sunday made a telephonic contact with the families of martyred military officers and soldiers and prayed higher status in heaven for the martyrs.

President Dr. Arif Alvi contacted families of Major Raja Zeeshan Jehanzeb and Major Irfan Barcha, who embraced martyrdom in a helicopter crash on sixth of this month, and commiserated with them as well as prayed the Almighty Allah to grant the departed souls better place in heaven.

He also telephoned family members of the soldier, who laid down their lives in the line of duty in North Waziristan on 27th of the last month; besides talking to the bereaved families of Lance Naik Arif, Naik Rehman, and sepoy Ghafoor Jan.

Condoling with martyrs’ families, Dr. Arif Alvi prayed the Almighty to rest the departed souls in paradise.
