President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Muhammad Abdul Shakoor visits flood-hit areas of Balochistan


QUETTA, Sep 20 (SABAH): Central President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Muhammad Abdul Shakoor paid a visit to the tent colony setup at flood-hit district Jaffarabad of Balochistan on Tuesday and took stock of the needs of victims staying there and the facilities being provided to them.

While briefing the central president, camp incharge Amin Bugti said that 250 tents were stalled at this tent colony where cooked meals, clean drinking water, medical facilities and tent schools were serving the affected people while the other people affected from the disastrous flood also benefiting from medical campus.

At the Alkhidmat kitchen, 5,000 affected people are provided with foods on daily basis. Other affected people preset on the roadside are also taking benefit from this abovementioned meal besides from four big water tankers.

President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that Pakistan is passing through a big disaster while being in flood situation, and continued that after the rescue phase, tent colonies were stalled where cooked meals, clean drinking water and facilities like medical campus and tent schools were being provided, whereas through mobile water filtration plants and Alkhidmat Kitchen Service, potable water and cooked meals were being provided to the food victims.

In view of mounting threats of dengue mosquitoes in floodwaters, and malaria; Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that mosquito nets were being provided and mosquito killer sprays were being regularly used.

Incharge Central Media Relations Department Shoaib Hashmi, President Alkhidmat Balochistan Engineer Jameel Ahmed Kurd, President Alkhidmat Jaffarabab Irfan Abro and other local office-bearers were also present on the occasion.
