President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Muhammad Abdul Shakoor visits flood affected areas of Sindh
KARACHI, Sep 19 (SABAH): Central President of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Muhammad Abdul Shakoor paid a visit of tent colonies established in the flood affected areas of Sindh including Sukkur, Larkana, Shikarpur, Jacobabad and tehsil Mehar of Dadu.
Muhammad Abdul Shakoor took stock of needs of residing victims at tent colonies of flood-hit areas and the facilities being provided to them. He particularly visited Dodo Tunio Goth area of tehsil Mehar of district Dadu through Alkhidmat’s boat service and provided dry rations, milk, juices and medicines to the population encircled by floodwaters.
President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan said that Pakistan is passing through a bitter ordeal while being in flood situation, and continued that after the rescue phase, tent colonies were established where cooked food, clean drinking water and facilities like medical campus and tent schools were being provided, whereas through mobile water filtration plants and Alkhidmat Kitchen Service, clean drinking water and cooked food is being provided to the food victims.
In view of increasing dangers of snakes in floodwaters, dengue and malaria; Muhammad Abdul Shakoor noted that vaccine against snake bite, provision of mosquito nets and mosquito killer sprays were being regularly used.
