PPP while putting aside Constitution, hell-bent upon bringing its own Mayor for Karachi: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman
KARACHI, May 29 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) while putting aside the Constitution, hell-bent upon bringing its own Mayor for Karachi.
While talking to media persons, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the beloved ones wanted that Saddar Town must be given to the jialas which was a mockery on the name of elections. He further said that Election Commission of Pakistan was playing a role of a slave of the PPP and added that special seats of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were stolen from the lists of the returning officers (ROs).
He advised the Election Commission to fulfill its responsibilities and added that Jamaat-e-Islami will give mayor to the port city of Karachi. He further said that representatives of PTI were in contact with them.
He further said that Karachi has been suffering from worst civic issues and deplored that K-4 Project couldn’t be materialized even in the 18 years. While directly referring to Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to tell the nation that why K-4 Project could not be completed.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while referring to chairman PPP, said, “You obtain free of cost oil. Ask from underprivileged segments of the society that the type of situation they are facing nowadays.” He said that they requested the Sindh High Court to conduct immediate hearing in this regard.
“Local bodies’ elections were held hostage. Government of Sindh is using unfair means to occupy these polls. Local bodies polls were held after endeavours of our two-and-half years. Despite the controversial voters’ lists, Jamaat-e-Islami obtained majority of the votes in the city,” he added.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman alleged that PPP undemocratically got the elections results changed and added it through Ros, it helped in winning the PPP’s candidates. Similarly, “PTI’s seats were snatched as well,” he concluded.
