PPP secures four, PML-N & JUI-F one seat each in Senate by-elections
ISLAMABAD, March 14 (SABAH): Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has emerged as largest party in the Senate by-elections held at National Assembly, Sindh Assembly and Balochistan Assembly on Thursday while securing four seats out of six.
Makhdoom Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani regained the Senate seat from the federal capital securing 204 votes. Sunni Ittehad Council’s candidate Chaudhary Ilyas Mehrban got 88 votes.
From Sindh, Pakistan People’s Party candidates won two General Seats of the Senate. Jam Saifullah acquired 58 votes while Mohammad Aslam Abro got 57 votes.
In Balochistan Provincial Assembly Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo of Pakistan People’s Party, Mir Dustain Domki of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Abdul Shakoor Khan of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) successful.
