PPP resorted to retaliatory actions against those who rejected it during LB polls: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman


KARACHI, July 30 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on Sunday unrevealed that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has launched retaliatory actions against those who rejected it during the local bodies’ polls. 

Addressing a press conference at Idara Noor-e-Haq on Sunday, Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman noted that those people who did not exercise their right of franchise in favour of PPP, now it has resorted to worse revengeful activities against those people by depriving them intentionally of clean drinking water.

He further revealed that with the approval of imposed mayor of Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, legal water connections of people in North Karachi, New Karachi and Surjani Town were being cut which was worse instance of revenue and cruelty.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman maintained that Jamaat-e-Islami will unfold this entire process and added due to incompetence of government of Sind spanning over last 15 years as well as poor performance, the whole city was suffering from the issue of water scarcity.

He further said Jamaat-e-Islami will stage protests at 10 important points of the city on Monday [July 31] against unjust division of water, tanker mafia, illegal hydrants and water stealing under the shadow of the government where it will stage sit-in at Water Board office on Friday [August 04].

He stressed upon the imposed mayor who is also chairman of water board should come forward and tell the nation that why legal connections of water were cut as they were being punished for not casting vote in favour of PPP.
