PPP, MQM are two faces of same coin: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman

KARACHI, Nov 23 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) are two faces of the same coin. He said both the parties destroyed Karachi spanning over 35 years.

Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed these views while addressing a press conference at Idara Noor-e-Haq on Thursday.

He said that alliance of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and MQM is not against PPP but it is against Jamaat-e-Islami and Karachiites because citizens of Karachi gave majority of votes to Jamaat-e-Islami in the local bodies’ polls, especially in the central areas of the city.

He said a drama is going on by changing different individuals in the parties, adding now Karachiites will not be fooled by anyone anymore. He said democracy should be allowed to flourish and mafias and friendly opposition like ideas should not be promoted.

He further said that people should be given right to franchise and there should be free, fair and transparent elections. In the presence of party governors in the four provinces, he said, the elections could not be held transparently.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi further suggested that ROs and DROs should be appointed from judiciary instead of administration. He said that 35 million people of Karachi will reject PML-N, MQM and PPP which are indeed supporters of K-Electric by taking revenge from all these parties. He said these are parties which have destroyed Karachi and from those who burnt alive human beings in the factories.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman advised the people that alongside correct use of their vote, the people should also fight with occupational mafia. He added that former prime minister and PML-N supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is being portrayed as a king. He asked that the PML-N should inform what it did for Palestine and added why it did not condemn Israel and the US. He further asked why it didn’t support the Hamas.

Under Jamaat-e-Islami Youth, a “Gaza Bike Rally” would be taken out on November 26 from Quaid Museum to Teen Talwar and stressed upon the youth of the city to actively participate in this rally to show solidarity with the Palestinians.
