PPP leadership always supported dialogue among political forces: Shazia Marri
ISLAMABAD, April 29 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme Ms. Shazia Atta Marri in a press statement on Saturday has said that the leadership of Pakistan People’s Party has always supported dialogue among the political forces to strengthen democratic process in the country.
She was of the view that the Supreme Court is not mandated to arrange and monitor dialogue among the political parties.
Shazia Marri notes that Imran Khan himself chosen non-political method by opting out of the assemblies as he knew very well that PTI government in Punjab that was installed with the help of courts was bound to collapse.
Shazia Marri feared that PTI’s demand for holding election in Punjab alone is a grave conspiracy against the federation of Pakistan and said that it was constitutional obligation that National Assembly and provincial assemblies of Sindh and Balochistan should complete their terms.
The Minister said that Imran Khan has developed conditions of mood swings and mental instability and any fruitful discussions in such situation seems unlikely.
