Postponement of APC is failure of unity govt: Liaqat Baloch
PESHAWAR, Feb 08 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami and President Political and National Affairs Committee, Liaqat Baloch has termed the postponement of All Parties Conference (APC) called by the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif as failure of the unity government.
Liaqat Baloch said this during his two-day visit of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday. While addressing the provincial, political and electoral committee, he said that Peshawar incident was very ghastly in nature.
A number of days have passed when the incident of earthquake took place but the government of Pakistan could not develop an agreed consensus for implementing National Action Plan (NAP), Liaqat Baloch said and added the rulers were enjoying the power and the ministries.
He said the leaders did not feel pain of destruction of national priorities, poor masses, pensioners, agriculture, trade and industry and added on the lines of the past rulers, the current unity government took the country on the brink of ruin whereas such governance is a security risk for a nuclear state. He stressed upon the political leadership to protect democracy, Constitution and electoral process through the national dialogue for taking the country out of political, economical, Constitutional and electoral crises.
He said that sacrifices made by officials and officers of police throughout the country were praiseworthy in the eyes of the masses and added that the whole nation was expressing its grief over the incident took place in Peshawar a few days ago and appealed to take care of them with proper assistance as per ‘Shuhda Package.’
Liaqat Baloch while expressing his sympathies with the victims of earthquake of Syria and Turkiye noted that human beings get affected from the natural calamities as it was beyond the reach of them to remain safe from them. He said God-willing the people of Turkiye and Syria will come out of this examination soon.
Liaqat Baloch said that climate changes were affecting the entire world; however, human mistakes should be repaired to stop these climate changes to occur and continued that in this time of test Pakistani people were expressing harmony with Turkiye brothers and leadership.
