Political parties should depend on their workers instead of army: Ameer-ul-Azeem

ISLAMABAD, July 30 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Ameerul-Azeem said that political parties should rely on their workers instead of the army in political matters.

While talking to anchor person Hamid Mir at Capital Talk, Ameer-ul-Azeem said that political parties negotiate with the army at night and with the government during the day. He said the army should remain within its constitutional limits. It is necessary to show collective vision, every political party should rely on their workers, he said and added political parties should strengthen themselves politically instead of negotiating with the army.

In response to a question, Ameer-ul-Azeem said that there are no elections, but the matters of Form 45 and 47 are going on. He said let’s talk about Urdu as a national language and it had to be implemented officially and the time frame was fixed in the constitution but there was no implementation. Elections were announced in ninety days but no one implemented it, he said and added the right should be given regarding the affiliation of PTI workers, however, the Supreme Court has the authority to interpret the constitution.

In response to another question, Ameer-ul-Azeem said, “Jamaat-e-Islami raised the issue of missing persons on every forum on every occasion, camps were also set up on this issue and a campaign was held. Maulana Hidaitullah forcefully took up the issue of missing persons in Balochistan. Jamaat-e-Islami is still raising its voice, it speaks whenever it gets an opportunity, but there are so many problems in Pakistan, one problem is being discussed, and a bigger problem comes out.”
